Every day at University United Methodist Church, people are engaged in the mission “to make disciples”. The U is moving beyond inclusion of people with special needs to empowering and equipping everyone to join the great commission!

University United Methodist has for years believed God has a calling for all believers. u|ability (formerly Special Needs Ministry) is teaching children, youth and adults how to share the gospel with their peers. Mission trips, reaching out to the homeless, and ministering to veterans are some of the projects on our horizon.

u|ability’s mission is to provide opportunities that bring dignity and purpose to children, youth and adults who have cognitive and developmental challenges.  These opportunities encompass spiritual growth, education, fellowship, and service to God and to our community.
